His board certified expertise, on-going training and many years of specialized experience enable him to deliver the highest quality of care in the following areas:
Rectal Bleeding/Pain
We conduct a thorough evaluation to determine the source; this may include advanced diagnostic studies such as colonoscopy. When the source is identified, it can often be treated in a non-surgical manner.
When non-operative treatment options are exhausted, we then proceed with state-of-the-art surgical techniques. Rectal bleeding can be a frightening experience, so a complete evaluation in a comfortable environment is a must.
Perianal Abscess & Anal Fistula
In many cases, the source of perianal infection can be identified and definitive treatment initiated on the first visit.
Anal fistula disease is often a challenging anorectal condition. You can trust Dr. Evetts to employ state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment strategies to help overcome this condition.
Hemorrhoids
This frequent and often embarrassing condition is an area of special interest to Dr. Evetts. Our first line of treatment is almost always the use of non-surgical techniques.
When surgery is required, the least painful and most effective procedures are always utilized.
We offer a “clinic within a clinic” exclusively for hemorrhoid patients. To learn more, click here to go to TheHemorrhoidClinic.
Anal Fissures
This painful condition is often confused with hemorrhoids; fortunately treatment is usually straightforward and very successful. Non-surgical medical management techniques are always employed first.
Fecal Incontinence
We perform a complete evaluation including ultrasound evaluation of anal sphincters, anal manometry and nerve conduction studies.
Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery
When surgery of the colon and rectum is required, minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques are used whenever appropriate. Our experience with laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery allow us to use these techniques extensively.
